Our History

The Bait Hassan Charitable Foundation is an Omani charitable organization licensed by the Ministry of Social Development. Established in March 2025 through self-funding provided by brothers Ali and Abdul Karim—sons of Hassan Al-Lawati—the Foundation is managed according to a structured institutional framework by the second generation of the family, thereby ensuring robust governance and sustainability.

The Foundation’s primary role centers on supporting community initiatives at the national level, extending its reach across all governorates of the Sultanate of Oman. Its activities include establishing or equipping childcare and educational centers, furnishing healthcare facilities, providing housing for families facing financial hardship—or assisting in its construction—and supplying them with essential necessities. Furthermore, the Foundation undertakes the construction and furnishing of mosques, provides aid to those in need, and offers a wide array of other forms of assistance.

The Foundation relies on professionally managed sustainable assets, the returns from which are utilized to ensure the continuity of its operations and to generate a lasting social impact throughout the Sultanate of Oman.

February 26 marked the signing of an agreement to construct a health center in the Al-Asim district of the Wilayat of Barka, attended by representatives of both the implementing and supporting entities. The Bait Hassan Charitable Foundation was represented by Mr. Yasser bin Abdul Karim bin Suleiman, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees, who signed the agreement on behalf of the family of the late Mohammed bin Hassan Al-Abdawani. Construction work on the project is scheduled to commence in the coming weeks and is expected to span 18 months, at an estimated cost of 720,000 Omani Rials. The announcement concluded with a prayer that God may accept this endeavor as an enduring charity (*Sadaqah Jariyah*) for the deceased and bestow its benefits upon the local community.
